ABOUT ME
WHERE I COME FROM
I am the proud son of immigrants, raised in the Southeast Harris County. My father worked long hours so that our family could keep a roof over our heads, while my mother sacrificed daily to make sure my siblings and I had opportunities they never did.

Growing up in Houston’s East End and attending HISD schools, I learned the meaning of resilience and community. Teachers reminded me, “Sí Se Puede” — yes, it can be done. Those words carried me through every challenge, from being the first in my family to graduate from Rice University to becoming a teacher in the same county that raised me.
