Engineering an Office That Works for YOU.
The next District Clerk needs the skills to adapt to 21st-century technology. This office is NOT a legal office, but a systematic, procedural, and administrative office that is best served by a data-driven engineer who is also a people person.

Alex is running to bring data-driven leadership and operational efficiency to the Harris County District Clerk's Office.
As Harris County District Clerk, my top priority is ensuring the office is responsive and accurate to help keep our communities safe.
As District Clerk I'll Fight for Working People By:

Advocating for Increasing Jury Duty Pay
Specific Demographics - Latinos/Hispanics, African Americans, Young Adults - are often underrepresented in our Justice System. A Jury of our peers is a fundamental right, and we deserve a district clerk who will fight for equitable representation.

Prioritizing User Friendly, Accessible Technology
I would expand easy-to-use online tools that allow residents to securely access their records, track case status in real time, and understand the stage of their filing. This supports our working families and reduces barriers to knowledge.

Transparency and Financial Accountability
Publishing clear, easy-to-read financial dashboards showing filing volumes, fees collected, and outstanding balances demonstrates government accountability to the people it serves. Strengthening internal audits with follow-ups, ensuring problems are resolved.

Serving our communities with integrity, efficiency, and respect
The District Clerk's Office isn’t about pushing paperwork – it’s about serving our communities. Reducing barriers to justice by making it easier to serve on a Jury. Increasing passport fairs for families who face barriers to travel or obtaining identification. A system that moves too slowly impacts justice in our most vulnerable communities.
